Andy & Kate's Wedding

Andy & Me

This past weekend I went back to Illinois to celebrate Andy and Kate's Wedding. I had the time of my life. One weekend reminded me why I loved living there and how many great friends I left. Hopefully I'll make it back again soon. See the photos here.

Back from Vegas

Beta Xi Representatives

I'm back from the AKPsi National Convention. Looking back, I am very glad I went. The people I met were amazing. Hopefully I'll be keeping in touch with many of them. Our chapter tied for the top score on our annual report. More importantly, in my opinion, our chapter advisor was recognized as the best in the fraternity. Phil has dedicated so much of his time to all of us as a volunteer. Congratulations Phil and Beta Xi chapter at Virginia Tech.

You can see all of the Las Vegas photos here.

Software Change

So I tried the easy upgrade to Movable Type 3.2 and it failed. MT has been a pain to manage especially when it comes to plugins. So I moved to Wordpress. The main page has been formatted, but others remain. Please have some patience. The RSS feed has changed as a result of this.

Nobody Likes Onions

Nobody Likes Onions

"The Podcasting Revolution Is Upon Us" Is anyone else sick of hearing this? Most of the stuff out there is crap. I have found an exception. Nobody Likes Onions is a hilarious comedy talk show. Listen to some promos about Terry Schiavo, Retard Boxing, Female Anatomy, or the Sampler . (Warning: if you are offended easily, don't click them) You can
subscribe to their podcast in iTunes
in the comedy category.

I'm A Criminal

I had a file with "Backstreet Boys" in the name posted on the file hosting service I raved about. It was a video I shot of someone drunk singing to a DVD. Apparently I have violated the DMCA...or maybe it's because The Backstreet Boys suck.

I found a place to host my videos for free. You don't need to signup to view any of them, but there are ads and you may have to wait a minute or two to get the file. Click here to see the latest videos.

I finally broke down

I didn't believe the hype around del.icio.us for a long type. As you may notice, the links section on the side of this site is dynamic. I'm using del.icio.us to power a script for it. I know some people are gloating because I was so adamant about avoiding the site. My links are here.

New Photo Site

The move has been made!

I had been attempting to create an easier solution to posting photos than Yahoo. My biggest problem with most sites was bandwidth and storage. After multiple tries and failures to do this through movable type, I was told of Flickr. I amazed at the simplicity and complexity of this service. Better control over photo sets, tags, comment, group pools, integrated and customizable RSS or Atom feeds, APIs, and much more have amazed me.

I have uploading all my photos and organized them into sets. Some sets have been indexed with tags, but most haven't. So take a look, leave a comment, and explore.

See my photos here!

Long Time, No Update

Where have I been? I neglected the site I said I would keep up to date. Since my last post the semester has passed. I've had some rough spots recently, but came out of it a better man. This summer I will be taking a few classes and working in an internship I helped create. What an awesome opportunity! This summer also entails a trip to Las Vegas for the AKPsi National Convention. Updates are sure to come more frequently.

It Puts The Lotion On Its Skin

This video is disturbing to most people, but I laughed so hard. If you know who is responsible for this masterpiece, let me know.

Oops....cheap music

So in a previous post I raved about AllofMp3.com. Oops. This article tells a different story. I'm glad I only add $5 at time to my account, beacuse they will be shut down shortly. I have moved on to other ventures. Napster is back, but they make you do some work for free music. Read this and this to save yourself space and time.

Lee Corso Freaks Out

corso.jpg
Lee Corso was recently on a Dallas radio show talking about his college days as Burt Reynolds roommate. The hosts made a slight joke about Corso and he flipped out. The audio can be found here.

Maybe next time God won't miss him with a lightning strike.

PhotoBlog

I mentioned in my first post I was going to make a way to display photos that was better than posting within Yahoo. The delay is caused by my lack of imagination and perfectionism. I'll gladly show what I have to those interested, in exchange for honest feedback. My hope is to maintain the Yahoo site for storage of all images. I want to showcase some images on the developing site while linking to Yahoo. Any suggestions on the best way to do this within Movable Type?

Gmail Expansion

Google is expanding the beta testing for Gmail, their web based email service that allows 1 gb of storage. I switched over to Gmail because Hotmail is a pain, I wanted a fresh start from spammers (though posting my address here does not help), and I no longer wanted a bunch of numbers on my email address. I have 50 invites to hand out. Send me an email if you want to try it out.

My Roommates: Part 2

They came back and cleaned up. By cleaning up I mean rearranging dirty dishes and filling the garbage over the top. Again, nothing has been altered. This is what I found when I came home.

Bush's Response to the Tsunami
